On Sunday, WWE announced that they had released WWE Superstar Emma.
BREAKING NEWS: WWE has come to terms on the release of WWE Superstar Emma. https://t.co/mB3phnvRjX

The news comes as a shock to wrestling fans as Emma was steadily improving each and every week. Emma most recently faced the debuting Asuka at WWE TLC and the following night on RAW. Emma was released while the women’s division still has Summer Rae and Lana around.
Emma was once the bubbly (pun intended) superstar that went around popping bubbles and eventually ended up teaming with Santino Marella.
Emma was eventually sent back down to NXT where she had her first run as a heel and made it back to the main roster shortly after a year.
WWE tried to give her a “makeover” by transforming her from Emma to Emmalina having countless vignettes for months which ended when Emmalina made her debut announcing that Emmalina will now be transforming back to Emma. The repackaging of Emma ended up flopping.

This is so upsetting. Emma has been underrated for years now. Paige vs Emma, along with other matches, started something great

To say that Emma wasn't used properly by the WWE is an understatement. I hope she succeeds in whatever she chooses to do next. pic.twitter.com/pWNJ04nPFg
