Aiden English and Rusev are in the ring as Smackdown continues. English tries to sing the “12 Days of Rusev” but is interrupted by The New Day. New Day comes out and gives the crowd big pancakes. This leads to a match in which Rusev and Aiden English pick up the shocking victory!
Thoughts – Interesting, didn’t see that coming.
A backstage interview with Mojo Rawley solidifies the storyline that has been building for the last 8 months. He was upset Zack Ryder came back and took all of his momentum from winning the Andre The Giant Battle Royal at WrestleMania.
Thoughts – Classic booking, lazy but smart. Now let him move on from Ryder and lets finally see what this kid can do.
Carmella, Lana, and Tamina are all lobbying for a women’s title match from Daniel Bryan, he tells them the match for Clash of Champions is already set. Ruby Riott, Sarah Logan, and Liv Morgan charge in and complain they too are being ignored for a title match. Bryan tells them they will all be at the PPV because the title match will be a lumberjack match.
Charlotte defeats Tamina w/Lana, Carmella, and Natalya.
After the match, Natalya says she is going to win back her title. Before Natalya can finish, The Riott Squad interrupts. a brawl ensues.
Thoughts – The Smackdown Women’s Division may be over crowded but I don’t care. Good stuff all the way around!
