Now you have a guy that you can plug in every week instead of being buried and you still have two other backs that you can use for bye weeks and injuries. While considering your own team, you also have to consider the other team’s needs. If he’s starting Bell and Ellington, he likely is not going to be willing to give Bell up. If they also have a top player like Aaron Rodgers, he’s not going to get moved, period. Also do not try and make an unfair trade. If you’re going to offer me some ridiculous offer, I’m not even likely to look at your trades or try and make a trade with you because you’re probably an idiot.
The final thing of advice I will offer is look at the injuries and depth chart too. Yeldon may not be way up there in fantasy points scored, but with the third most rushes in the NFL this season, doesn’t he offer more upside than say Danny Woodhead who might have more points but is a boom or bust as a backup RB. Same things go with injuries.
Victor Cruz has been out for the first five weeks and Randle’s value has been up, but when he comes back he may go back to the third or fourth option. Looking at a team and when the other people on the field are coming back should play a role in how much value a guy has for better or for worse.
Now let’s look at some of the people that I’m buying into and selling.
