Show To See
Hopefully, the rain stays away and area tracks can get their shows in. It’s certainly been a rough start to the local season. My “Show To See” this weekend is the “Throwback 30” event at Skyline Speedway. Originally scheduled for Friday night, the event was pushed back to Sunday due to the prospects of rain. The Late Model feature pays $2,010 to win and also is a Jim Dunn Memorial Qualifier. Past Skyline legends will be honored during the event Sunday. Four late model drivers will be driving tribute cars. Freddie Carpenter will be driving the Mike Balzano tribute car, son Tyler Carpenter will be driving the Steve Shaver tribute car, Andy Bond will be driving the Ronnie Bond tribute car and Ronnie Mayle will be piloting the Bernie Triplet tribute car. Modifieds, Sport Mods and 4-Cylinders will also be racing Sunday.
