The votes have been tallied and we have a winner for NEOSI Player of the Week. With 58% of the vote, your winner is Mikey Maloney of the Riverside Beavers.
Riverside extended its winning streak to six games with a 42-25 victory over the Kenston Bombers. Maloney, a junior QB, threw for 262 yards and five touchdowns on 15-21 passing. With the win, the Beavers clinched at least a share of the Western Reserve Conference Championship and will have a chance to win it outright this Friday against Willoughby South (4-5).
Congratulations to our other three nominees for their impressive performances: Rocco Conti (Olmsted Falls), Marco Cirigliano (Columbia), and Ty Hurst (Tallmadge).
