Ryan Kerscher, Walsh Jesuit
The Warriors senior QB turned in a record-breaking performance in their 55-23 win over Notre Dame Cathedral Latin. Kerscher set a school record with 385 yards and tied the school record for touchdown passes with 5 on 20-29 passing. The win moved Walsh Jesuit to 5-2 on the season and into the 9 spot in Region 5, according to JoeEitel.com.
Ethan Holbrook, Avon
While numerous Eagles could find themselves on our list, Holbrook turned in the most impressive performance of the bunch in Avon’s 63-42 victory over Olmsted Falls. The senior hauled in 10 catches for 208 yards and a jaw dropping five touchdowns, one short of tying the state record. The Eagles improved to 6-1 and they currently hold the top seed in Region 6, according to JoeEitel.com.
Sam Retton, Aurora
Aurora senior Sam Retton did it all in the Greenmen’s 56-13 victory at Kent Roosevelt. The speedster took two kickoffs back for touchdowns, nearly a third before being tripped up in the red zone and hauled in two touchdown catches on 64 yards. Aurora improved to 6-1 on the season and the Greenmen currently hold the 8 seed in Region 9, according to JoeEitel.com.
Danny Stoddard, Medina
As has become the norm, the Bees junior QB turned in another impressive performance in their 52-38 win over Mentor. Stoddard spread the ball around, going 24-42 for 432 yards and six touchdowns, with two nearly three receivers crossing the 100-yard mark. The Bees moved to 6-1 on the season and are currently the 2 seed in Region 1, according to JoeEitel.com.
Alex Symons, Lakewood
The Rangers needed the arm and the legs of their QB to pull out the 36-24 victory over Parma. Symons, a junior, was 11-16 passing for 256 yards and four touchdowns, which is impressive by itself. The dual threat QB also added 115 yards on 10 carries for another two touchdowns, giving him six total for the game. Lakewood improved to 3-4 on the year and 1-2 in the Great Lakes Conference.
