The votes have been tallied and it’s time to crown the NEOSI Player of the Week. With 489 votes, Kyle Snider comes out on top with 43% of the vote. With the Royals off to a 3-1 start, the senior running back has been the driving force for the offense.
In their 42-36 overtime victory against Canton South, Snider carried the rock 36 times for 251 yards and a jaw-dropping five touchdowns. Snider’s dominant play isn’t a new thing, as the CVCA senior 862 yards and 13 touchdowns through four games. The Royals will need another big game from Snider as they head to Triway (3-1) for a Principal’s Athletic Conference showdown.
Congratulations to our other three nominees this week: Sean Patrick, Cody Coontz, and Gavin Beasley. While they didn’t nab the honor this week, all three turned in dominant performances and could find themselves as nominees in the coming weeks.
