Topping last week’s vote total by more than 200, you, the fans, have selected our Week 2 NEOSI Player of the Week. With 643 votes cast, Brennen Schramm is the winner of the NEOSI POTW. The Medina senior had a performance of a lifetime last Friday against Avon, hauling in 14 catches for 302 yards and three touchdowns.
Much like last season, Schramm is the focal point of a Bees offense that is looking to make a run in the playoffs. This week, Schramm, and Company travel to Wadsworth to take on the 2-0 Grizzlies. NEOSI will be in attendance so be sure to follow along for live game updates.
Congratulations to our other four candidates: Danny Stoddard, Jakorion Caffey, DaOne Owens, and Zachary Baglia. All four turned in dominant performances and are likely to find themselves featured on another POTW poll. Special shoutout to Medina QB Danny Stoddard. When you graduate a player the caliber of Drew Allar, some regression is expected when moving to the next guy. That’s not the case with Stoddard, the junior has filled in immediately and took down Allar’s passing record last week. Expect big things from Stoddard, Schramm, and the rest of the Bees.
This weekend, follow along on Twitter @NEOSportsInside to keep up with the action from around the area. See an impressive performance? Let us know and one of your picks could end up being a finalist for next week’s poll.
