Week 12 NEOSI HS Football Player of the Week Results

Week Five

The votes have been tallied and we have a winner for Northeast Ohio Sports Insiders Player of the Week. With 47% of the vote, junior QB Danny Stoddard of Medina is this week’s winner.

In the Bees 49-35 victory over Wadsworth, Stoddard went 23-40 passing for 388 yards and four touchdowns. His contributions came from more than just his arm, as the QB also ran two scores in, giving him a hand in all seven touchdowns. Already breaking the single season Medina County passing records, Stoddard looks to continue his stellar campaign this Friday in a rematch with Mentor at Twinsburg High School. The last time the teams met, Stoddard threw for 432 yards and six touchdowns.

Congratulations to our other three candidates this week: Lamar Sperling (Hoban), Levi Ellis (Elyria Catholic), and Jagger Pallay (Hudson). All three will look to continue their postseason runs this weekend.
