The votes are in and we had a close battle for this week’s Player of the Week honors. Coming away with 37% of the vote, Marco Cirigliano of Columbia brings home his second Player of the Week award.
In the Raiders 42-22 first round win over Mapleton, Cirigliano once again carried the load. The junior RB carried the ball 28 times for 247 yards and three Columbia touchdowns. On the season, Cirigliano is up to 2,222 yards and 37 rushing touchdowns, according to MaxPreps.
Congratulations to our other three candidates this week: Ethan Holbrook (Avon), Justin Bremner (Walsh Jesuit), and Rocco Conti (Olmsted Falls). All of our candidates this week advanced to the second round of the playoffs this Friday night.
The second round of the playoffs kick off this week and many area teams continue their journey towards a state championship. See an impressive performance this Friday night?
