Week 10 POTW Poll: Who Was The Top Performer In Week 10?

Week Five

In the blink of an eye, the regular season has come to an end. While many seasons ended last Friday night, many teams across Northeast Ohio are gearing up for playoff runs. Before we move on to the first round, it’s time to take a look back at some of the most impressive performances from the last week of the regular season. Who turned in the most impressive Week 10 performance? Have your voice heard in the poll below! Voting closes Thursday at noon.

Danny Stoddard, Medina

When Drew Allar set the Medina County passing yardage and touchdown records, many thought those marks would stand for a long time. The Bees junior QB, Danny Stoddard, had other ideas. In their Week 10 48-7 victory over Solon, Stoddard went 29-39 for 409 yards and six touchdowns. His 49th TD pass of the season broke Allar’s single season mark and Stoddard stands just 557 yards behind the single season yardage mark. Medina finished the season 9-1 and will host Strongsville (3-7) in the first round of the playoffs.

Preston Hopperton, Streetsboro

Preston Hopkins was a terror in the Rockets 63-35 win over the Coventry Comets. Hopkins, a junior, ran for 159 yards and three touchdowns on 16 carries. That wasn’t the extent of his contribution as he also hauled in seven catches for 162 yards and two scores. Streetsboro improved to 6-4 on the year and will travel to Northwest (7-3) to start their playoff run.

Tyler Mrakuzic, Black River

Needing a win to continue their season, the Pirates leaned on Mrakuzic and the senior came through. In their 41-12 win on the road at Wellington, Mrakuzic finished with seven catches for 220 yards and five total touchdowns. Black River improved to 6-4 with the victory and will head to Columbus Grove (8-2) for the first round of the playoffs.

Cody Miller, North Royalton

The Bears took down their rival Brecksville-Broadview Heights 30-0 and Cody Miller was a big reason why. The junior RB carried the ball 30 times and finished with 236 yards and all four North Royalton touchdowns. Up next for the Bears is a trip to Fremont Ross to take on the Little Giants (6-4).

There you have it, your four candidates for NEOSI Player of the Week. Make your voice heard in the poll below and share it with your friends to make sure your candidate brings home this week’s honors! Poll closes Thursday at noon.
