Round 2 Philadelphia
WR Simmie Cobbs Jr Indiana
Finally the Browns are able to get a good WR at the end of the second round. I’m a big fan of Cobbs so to get him towards the end of the second right now looks like a steal.
He has big size at 6’4” 220 pounds and looks like a complete receiver, with his athleticism, hands, and route running. In his toughest matchup all year against Ohio State, he put up 11 catches for 149 yards and a touchdown. That is an outstanding performance against an Ohio State defense that will have a lot of players drafted to the next level.
Round 3 Cleveland
DE Duke Ejiofor Wake Forest
Cleveland’s defense has struggled to get pressure on opposing QBs. While they rank 22nd with 24 sacks on the season, the tape doesn’t match it much outside of Garrett and Ogbah. The Nassib and Orchard experiments as highly drafted pass rushers have seemed to failed. In 26 and 30 games respectively, they have just 4.5 and 4 sacks each.
Myles Garrett had more than either of them in his first seven games at less than 100%. With those two set at the end spots for the future, I wouldn’t want to spend another first or second round pick to add another rusher to sit behind them, but with a great group of early pass rushers, someone like Ejiofor may slip to round three as a value pick.
