
ST. LOUIS– Shane Bieber has started off his Major League pitching career with a bang, so it’s only fitting that in his first game at the plate he came away with a hit.
Bieber became the 34th Indians pitcher to record a hit in his first game as a batter when he doubled to left in the top of the fourth inning.
