Warning: Browns 2025 opponents look tough to beat

At first glance of the Cleveland Brown’s 2025 opponents, you don’t get a positive vibe that much will change from this past 2024 season where the team has already earned a miserable 3-13 record. The team closes out the season on Saturday at Baltimore and it will likely be more misery.

The team finished last in the AFC North Division and will get a high draft pick, maybe even the No. 1 pick. It depends on how things play out this last week of the NFL regular season. One might think they’d get an easier set of future opponents.

Opponents for 2025

The Browns play the Buffalo Bills, Miami Dolphins, Green Bay Packers, Minnesota Vikings, San Francisco 49ers, and Detroit Lions next season. All those teams have been very good over recent years and will be uphill battles for Cleveland.  They also have to play their divisional foes so that won’t be easy either. They only won two of those games this season.

Home and Away Opponents

The Browns have nine home games and host the Bills, Dolphins, Packers, 49ers, Vikings, and Tennessee Titans.

Cleveland goes on the road to face the Lions, Chicago Bears, New England Patriots, Las Vegas Raiders, and New York Jets.

On paper, most of these opponents look beatable, but after the treacherous season we just saw here in Cleveland, nothing can be taken for granted.

International?

There is some speculation that the Browns will have an international game across the pond. That may take away one of their home games. This past season it was speculated that the Browns were to play the Philadelphia Eagles in Brazil. But the NFL changed that at the last minute to have the Green Bay Packers play in that game.

Cleveland Browns tight end Zaire Mitchell-Paden (83) tries to slip away from Cleveland Browns safety Chris Edmonds (41) and Cleveland Browns cornerback Justin Hardee Sr. (28) during the second half of an NFL preseason football game at Cleveland Browns Stadium, Saturday, Aug. 10, 2024, in Cleveland, Ohio.

With Cleveland playing the high-powered Lions next season in Detroit there is also some hope that the Browns will play them for the traditional Thanksgiving Day game.

In all likelihood during this offseason, the Browns will be making some changes amongst the coaching staff and the players. And that will certainly have a bearing on how we all analyze the upcoming schedule.

For now, we can simply speculate and while that can be fun it doesn’t usually result in accurate results. If you were to ask most Browns fans at the start of this past 2024 campaign they would have laughed at you if you told them that the Browns would only win three games this season.

Let’s hope that next season is a reversal of fortunes and that the team is back in the postseason.
