This contest between Wadsworth, the number three team in OHSAA Region One and Hudson was certainly a top game during week six.
After Hudson was stopped in the red zone with 4:10 remaining in the first quarter, they scored just nine seconds later on an 8-yard fumble return for a touchdown.
With 4:01 left in the first quarter, Trey Sharp’s fumble return gave Hudson a 6-0 lead.
That would be the only scoring of the first quarter.
In the second quarter Hudson took a 13-0 lead with 2:32 left in the half on a one-yard touchdown run by quarterback Peyton Neher.
After halftime, Wadsworth got on the scoreboard with 4:25 remaining in the third quarter when senior running back Kyle Figuray scored on a 27-yard touchdown run.
With 11:34 left in the fourth quarter Wadsworth senior running back Kyle Figuray scored on a 5-yard touchdown run to tie the game at 13-13.
Wadsworth senior quarterback Will Stack scored the game’s final touchdown with 6:31 left in the fourth quarter to complete the comeback.
With the victory Wadsworth moves to 5-1 on the season.
Wadsworth will next play Nordonia in a week seven matchup, while Hudson will play Broadview Heights.
