The Columbus Blue Jackets improved to 38-16-5 with a 7-0 shutout over the New York Islanders Saturday at home.
Jack Johnson, Boone Jenner and Nick Foligno scored goals in the first period.
Josh Anderson scored two in the middle frame and is now up to 13 goals on the season.
Foligno (22 goals) scored his second of the night in the third period and David Savard got on the board with 6:30 left in regulation.
Joonas Korpisalo made 24 saves, recording his first career NHL shutout.

The Blue Jackets travel to New York to face the Rangers Sunday for a 5 pm showdown with their Metropolitan Division rival.
Columbus (81 points) currently sits fourth in the divsion, one point behind New York and Pittsburgh, while the Capitals are seven points ahead in first place.
If the playoffs started today, Columbus would be the seventh seed in the Eastern Conference, as the Blue Jackets are 13 points ahead of the Islanders and Boston Bruins.
