Matthew Dellavedova’s value on the Cavaliers from 2013-2016 may never get the proper praise it deserves from most, but if there was one night that epitomized an underdog hero going up against Goliath, it was Game 3 of the 2015 NBA Finals.
With the series tied at one apiece and the venue switching to Quicken Loans Arena, Delly had the biggest game of his life, scoring 20 points and dishing out four assists. He played outstanding defense on Steph Curry on that night and for the most part in the rest of the series as well.
When the Cavs took a 2-1 series lead after the final buzzer of Game 3, chants of “Delly, Delly” could be heard echoing through the streets of Downtown Cleveland.
Here are some of the highlights from his remarkable game.
