Cleveland- It is safe to say the Dolan’s are ecstatic about the news that the Indians are now valued at $1.2 billion. Paul Dolan purchased the team in 2000 for $323 according to a story from WKYC. Just five years ago, the team was valued at $559 million. Perhaps the most surprising, the team is valued 10% higher than it was just one year ago. The evaluations were done by Forbes. Even if the Dolan’s are losing money operating the team as Paul Dolan said, they will get all of the money they’ve lost back when and if they decide to sell the Cleveland Indians.
