Cleveland Indians minor league catcher Francisco Mejia’s hitting streak was thought to have ended at 49 games, after he went 0-for-4 on Saturday night.
However, the official scorer of the game changed a play that was ruled as “E5” to a double, extending the streak to 50 games.
The Indians are just as shocked as we are.
Whoa: Mejia's streak lives!
The official scorer changed an E5 to a double. 50! https://t.co/Iy90Y6TcxV
