Alright, this is the biggest fight in UFC history. New York City. Madison Square Garden. Conor McGregor. Eddie Alvarez.
To sum it all up, it’s the UFC 205 main event. It’s for the UFC Lightweight Title and quite frankly, the legacy of both these fighters.
Conor McGregor is the most polarizing fighter in any combat sport. He has elevated the UFC to new heights and he continues to do so every day. He won the UFC Featherweight Title against Jose Aldo and from there it’s been Conor’s world. He’s so explosive with his striking and now with the added leg kicks he implemented with the Nate Diaz fight, he looks almost unstoppable. He’s on a mission and he looks like he can’t be stopped.
Eddie Alvarez looks to make Saturday his night. He can do it if he sticks to his game plan. He can exchange, but he should also try to take Conor down. It’s going to be a very long night for Conor if Eddie takes him down.
The abilities of these two fighters in terms of the stand-up game is so even that the ground game could very well be the difference.
In the historic main event of UFC 205, I think that Conor McGregor will defeat Eddie Alvarez by split decision to win the UFC Lightweight Championship.
