Tristan Thompson To Miss Multiple Games After Spraining Ankle In Saturday’s Game Against Denver

CLEVELAND, Ohio- The Cleveland Cavaliers released an injury report on Sunday evening regarding the health of Cavs center Tristan Thompson. The team is reporting that Thompson suffered a right ankle sprain in the first half of the team’s 126-117 loss Saturday night to the Denver Nuggets. Thompson was able to keep playing in the game but discovered significant swelling over the course of the evening.

Tests at Cleveland Clinic Courts on Sunday confirmed the right ankle sprain for Thompson and as a result, he’ll undergo treatment and begin the rehabilitation process. The big man is slated to miss multiple games and his return will be gauged off of his recovery.

Thompson is averaging 6.3 points and 6.5 rebounds per game in 42 games this year, 21 of those games being starts. He’s struggled with injuries for a good portion of the season and this provides yet another setback for him.
