Tribe takes game one of Yankees doubleheader; three takeaways

2. Starting off on the right foot

The Tribe scored two runs in the first inning, and that was enough to carry them through game one of the doubleheader.

Francisco Lindor got on base with a single to lead off the game. After stealing second, a Jose Ramirez single got him to third before Lindor ultimately scored on a passed ball by Yankees catcher Gary Sanchez.

In that same at-bat, Yandy Diaz recorded an RBI single on an 84 mph change-up pitch that plated Ramirez.

The Indians stranded nine men on base, recorded eight hits, and batted two-for-nine with runners in scoring position. But, the work they did in the first inning was ultimately enough to get them the win.
