Top Moments of the Indians First Half

4. Santana Ends the Marathon

There were so many amazing moments and performances during the Indians’ 14-game winning streak, including two walkoff wins against Chicago thanks to Carlos Santana and Jose Ramirez, back-to-back complete games from Corey Kluber and Trevor Bauer, and four homeruns in a single inning against Detroit’s Justin Verlander.  However, I think the moment that best encapsulated the whole streak came at the end of the 19-inning battle in Toronto that gave the club its fourteenth win in a row.  Tribe pitching was dominant like it was during the whole streak, allowing 1 run in 19 innings, and the offense provided just enough when Santana drilled a ball to centerfield in the top of the 19th to give the Indians a 2-1 victory.
