Top 3 Predictions for a Surprise Return/Debut in the 2017 Royal Rumble Match

2. Finn Balor

Finn Balor has been out of action ever since Summerslam of 2016 following the inaugural match against Seth Rollins for the WWE Universal Championship. Balor made an appearance at the WWE United Kingdom Tournament this past weekend and Michael Cole mentioned the fact that Finn is recovering nicely.

Newly signed commentator, Nigel McGuinness , mentioned that he has seen Balor down at the WWE Performance Center and putting in hard work to get back to recovery. Balor has mentioned previously that he will not be back in time for a Royal Rumble return , but I think that there is a strong possibility he may be the 28-30th entrant in the Rumble.

If Balor does make his return , I expect a match against Kevin Owens for the WWE Universal Championship at WrestleMania 33. I think Cole and McGuinness gave a bit of a spoiler during the UK Tournament as to when Balor will be making his return back by saying how quickly he is progressing.
