Top 20 WrestleMania Non-Main Event Matches

It’s the busiest week of the year in the world of professional wrestling, with WrestleMania 33 this weekend in Orlando, and plenty of great events before the show on Sunday kicks off at 5pm Eastern.

Since the first WrestleMania in 1985 at Madison Square Garden, there’s been tons of great matches to speak of, along with a lot of stinkers along the way.

The term ‘main event’ was a natural for Mania since it’s start 32 years ago, but it seems like as of late the card has been built around 4-5 matches, and this year is no different, with lots of matches that are being looked at as ‘highlight’ matches on the card.

Of course if you think ‘main event’ this year, that’s likely going to go to Brock Lesnar vs Goldberg for the WWE Universal Title, and it should be the final match on the card.

Today though we take a special trip down memory lane, as we count down 20 non-main event matches that stole the show. You’ll see a trend as certain names appear over and over on this list, but there’s no doubt that if you think of ‘great’ Mania matches, you’ll probably remember most of these.

So enjoy reliving these historic matches, the “Top 20 WrestleMania Non-Main Event Matches.”
