RB Matt Forte NYJ
I love Matt Forte but he has to be hitting a decline sooner than later. A consistent staple, he should be more in the mix with the Jets running backs compared to being the bell cow. Where he did well was catching the ball out of the backfield. Unfortunately the Jets already have one of the better pass catching RBs in the league in Blial Powell. With some of that role diminished and his increasing age, limited touches could signal the decline of one of the best and most consistent fantasy RBs of recent times.
RB Ameer Abdullah DET
I mentioned how much I love Riddick. I’m not sold on Abdullah by any means. He really did nothing last year in his rookie season. I figured he was set to be a dual threat RB but he only caught more than 25 yards in one game and rushed for over 50 yards in three games. Those are not numbers to expect from a number one RB. If he can’t get going, Riddick will be the Detroit RB you want.
WR Emmanuel Sanders DEN
When you go from Peyton Manning to Trevor Siemian you’re going to take a hit. It came down to him or Thomas for who I wanted to put here but young QBs tend to lean on their top WR. DeMaryius Thomas has more size and is a better WR than Sanders. While Sanders can still have an impact out of the slot, he has to remain healthy and hope to god the offense can do something. I don’t see much offensive production coming out of Denver however.
