This bout was at a time when the company was trying just about anything new, and someone decided to put fire around a ring, and put two 300-pound guys in it with the winner being the one that was able to set their opponent on fire.

Yes, those were the rules, and for 16 minutes the two ‘brothers’ went at it, with finally Kane’s arm (covered by his wrestling suit) catching fire, allowing Taker to be named the winner. It wasn’t a thing of beauty by any means, but it was fun for the spectacle of fire being around around the ring, and there’s a reason why the ‘Inferno match’ has only been done a handful of times in WWE.
