If you ever dreamed of being a beat writer covering the Cleveland Browns, now could be your chance. The Cleveland Plain Dealer and cleveland.com is losing one its Browns beat writers.
Wednesday afternoon, Tom Reed announced via his twitter account that he is leaving the Plain Dealer and cleveland.com and returning to the Columbus Dispatch. Reed spent five years as a Browns beat writer for cleveland.com and the Plain Dealer. Reed also covered the Cavaliers during his five years with the Plain Dealer and cleveland.com.

According to a tweet, Reed, who still resides in Columbus, will cover a variety of topics including the NHL’s Columbus Blue Jackets for the Dispatch. Reed also tweeted out that he hopes the Cleveland sports title drought ends in the next two weeks.
Reed will begin his new job at the Colmbus Dispatch on June 20. Reed’s departure leaves Mary Kay Cabot as the main Browns beat writer for the Plain Dealer and cleveland.com.
