Titans Lead Browns 6-3 At Halftime; Three Takeaways From The First Half

2. Defense Not Missing A Beat- When Jason McCourty and Jabrill Peppers were listed as out today, many Browns fans let out a sigh of sadness. Not only were the Browns struggling enough on defense, now they were without two of their best players on that side of the ball.

Luckily, the defense has stood tall for the first half, only allowing six points to Tennessee via two Ryan Succop field goals. The Browns have been able to lock down the back end of the field just enough to force Mariota to go with shorter throws. The Browns have also had two good stands inside the red zone that could have easily been two touchdowns for the strong Titans offense. With 124 total yards on offense, the Titans have been held in check.

Avoiding penalties and the big plays will be the key for the defense moving into the second half.
