1. Exciting Action From Dwyane Wade and Derrick Rose- As mentioned at the top, Wade and Rose were both inserted into the starting lineup and created some very good play with each other. With both men’s dynamic being primarily a slasher and making getting to the hole a priority, it could seem as if that would have created problems. Instead, it was a beauty to watch. When Wade started getting going, the defense would pay a lot more attention to him as expected, opening up Rose. Rose looked strong in his first real action as a Cavalier, scoring seven points and dishing out three assists. The stat sheet doesn’t say it all for Rose, who looked comfortable playing in the playmaker role in limited time tonight.
