The careers of Fedor and Wanderlei Silva are done.
Neither man showed that they had anything left tonight. After a four year layoff for Silva, he simply didn’t have it and appears to be punch drunk. Fedor has been done for years and was dusted off for Pay Per View buys. We will see if that gimmick worked.
A couple of quick hits to send everyone home with.
- It was great to hear Mike Goldberg back behind the microphone tonight. You could tell he missed being around the game as his voice showed genuine emotion and that patented call only he could bring. It was great to hear Goldie! And unlike Silva and Fedor, Goldberg showed no rust.
- Bellator needs to stay away from Pay Per View until they build their own established stars and do not have to rely on former UFC washouts.
- Sad to see the reign of a great champion like Michael Chandler end on a wacky ankle injury. Chandler had been on quite the role, I do not expect for him to stay down long.
- Ryan Couture, despite the win tonight, will never sniff the main event scene.
