The Cleveland Cavaliers are in a weird spot. After acquiring Isaiah Thomas, Jae Crowder, Ante Zizic, the 2018 Brooklyn 1st-Round Pick and 2020 Miami Heat 2nd-Round Pick in the Kyrie Irving trade with the Celtics this off-season, the team has had to readjust the way they will go about this season. It is an interesting depth chart and it will definitely be changing heading as the season progresses.
After Carmelo Anthony was shipped to the Oklahoma City Thunder, a few thoughts came into this author’s head. First off, a sigh of relief that the Cavs didn’t overspend for Melo, who is still a top player in this league but isn’t worth a first-round pick of anything near that. Secondly, the Cavs had thought about making the move for Melo but now will probably look to make another move to enhance their roster.
On the next few slides, I’ll break down the three potential moves the team should make.
*Please Note: This author is assuming Dwyane Wade is joining the Cavs very soon, hence why he won’t be one of the three players mentioned in the article.*
