3. Who is the X-factor for the Carolina Panthers?
Paul Williams: For me, the X Factor for the Panthers has to be running back Jonathon Stewart. The Broncos secondary is elite so the best chance the Panthers have of establishing their offense is doing it on the ground. Stewart set the tone for the Panthers in many big games this season and will look to do the same on Sunday.
Brandon Urasek: Luke Kuechly. He has a pick six in both games this post-season. Manning’s arm has been questionable the last couple years and has a tendency to throw some ducks. He also does not have the athleticism so if Carolina gets pressure he will be reading Manning to make a play. He is also a ballhawk so stopping the running game from getting started and forcing Manning to throw will also make him a factor.
Matt Medley: Ted Ginn Jr. If Ginn busts out a big return or picks up big chunks of yardage on the ground or through the air, that will be a bonus when combined with the consistent production of Cam Newton, Jonathan Stewart, and Greg Olsen.
Mike Perry: Greg Olsen, tight end. Olson is the one player the Broncos can’t match up with defensively. He will have a very big day if the Panthers end up on top.
Adrienne Goehler: Newton. He makes the offense go. He’ll hit his receivers and make his own plays on foot if nothing is there. If he can’t elude the Broncos D they’ll be in trouble.
