The Long Ball Helps the Indians and Bauer Top Cubs 4-1; Three Takeaways From the Win

1. A Clutch Outing from Olson

An injury to Andrew Miller left the Indians scrambling a bit in the 7th with two outs, and they called up a cold Tyler Olson to come in and get the last out of the inning with a 2-0 count, and he did just that.

Olson got Anthony Rizzo to fly out to end the inning, and then after allowing a double to start the 8th he got a ground out and a key strikeout of Kyle Schwarber before being pulled for Nick Goody.

This season Olson has been very good, sitting with a 3.38 ERA, he’s allowed three runs in eight innings, but in a big way helped the team with not a lot of prep to get ready on Wednesday night after the Miller injury.
