Pittsburgh should have Big Ben back by the time we play them for the first time too. If the Browns can pull one out this week, then maybe they have a chance to win five or six games and be where they usually are. A loss this week almost cements a top five pick and a three win team since they messed up all their easy games.
I would have said they had a chance at Seattle due to our past track record of somehow beating the Super Bowl champions but they forgot how to run the ball when it mattered to. On a side note, the League summarized that perfectly in their season opening scene and I highly recommend watching it.
Either way, it’s still a rough time to be a Browns fan. We’ve hit our yearly quandary point where we have to decide as fans whether we are rooting for a victory this week in hopes of salvaging the season, or for a loss to get another chance at messing up another high draft pick.
This week is the make or break week for me. I can’t take another loss to a winnable game, especially in a heart breaking fashion, nor do I want to watch the product that we call an NFL team.
Saturday may be my new day and I’ll root on my 24th ranked Rockets or maybe the Browns will prove me wrong. If they don’t, I hope they can at least come up with a new entertaining way to lose a game like this. Let’s see what happens this week but the only thing I’m counting on is Cleveland being Cleveland. Remember, play like a Brown.
