The Stow-Munroe Falls Bulldogs improved to (2-0, 1-0) as they defeated the hosting Wadsworth Grizzlies (1-1, 1-1) Friday night in a Suburban-National League conference matchup between the rival schools.
The Grizzlies held the Bulldogs off for three and a half quarters, but Cory Rice and Mason McMurray were too much to handle. Rice lead the bulldogs with 22 points. He did most of his damage in the first quarter, where he tallied 10 points. McMurray played big with 15 points, 7 rebounds and a dagger three in the 4th quarter to give the Bulldogs a two possession lead. Wadsworth was lead Tony Hewitt’s 19 points and Jacob Justice chipped in 14 points, 12 of which came from three point distance
The Bulldogs will take a trip down route eight Sunday December, 15th to take on SVSM at 6:00 p.m. in the Wingfoot Classic. The Grizzlies return to action Tuesday December, 19th at 7:30 p.m. They will be travelling to Cuyahoga Falls to take on the Black Tigers in a conference game.
