Midway through the high school football season, Northeast Ohio teams are currently ranked number one in three out of the seven OHSAA divisions.
Here is a breakdown of how teams from Northeast Ohio did in the latest AP poll released on Monday afternoon.
OHSAA Division I
St. Edward maintains there number one ranking in the Ohio AP poll.
The Eagles are now 4-1 on the season after Massillon got a 15-13 victory over the Eagles on Friday night.
Other Northeast Ohio teams in the top ten of the AP poll this week include Canton McKinley who is now ranked number 10.
McKinley had a dramatic come from behind 28-27 victory over Green during week five.
OHSAA Division II
Halfway through the regular season, it is clear that voters are quite impressed with the quality of football being played in this division in Northeast Ohio.
Moving into the top spot, voters chose Massillon as the number one Division II team in the state after they defeated St. Edward 15-13. Five additional Northeast Ohio teams are ranked in the top 10 in the Ohio AP High School football poll.
These additional five teams are all undefeated at 5-0 and include
Hoban (2), Avon (4), Riverside (5), Walsh Jesuit (6), and Nordonia (8).
OHSAA Division III
Five Northeast Ohio Teams are ranked in the top ten of OHSAA Division III in the AP poll at the halfway point of the regular season.
These teams include Ursuline (3), Norton (5), Buckeye (7), Villa-Angela St. Joseph and Kenston (tied for 9th)
OHSAA Division IV
Halfway through the regular season, three Northeast Ohio teams were voted into the top 10 of the AP poll. These teams include Canton South (2), Glenville (7), and Poland Seminary (8).
OHSAA Division V
Currently, the Perry Pirates are ranked number one in the state in the AP Ohio High School Football Poll for Division VI.
Other Northeast Ohio teams ranked in the top ten of the AP Ohio High School Football Poll include Norwayne (7), and Garrettsville Garfield (10).
OHSAA Division VI
Northeast Ohio teams ranked in the top ten of the AP Ohio High School Football Poll in Division VI include Kirtland (4), Rootstown (6 ), and Jackson-Milton (9).
