The Browns are back on Monday night with a chance to make a major statement. I wrote about it on Sunday but the last time the Browns won road games in consecutive weeks was 2002, which was ironically the last time the franchise made the playoffs. It’s probably not quite as important as a win over the Ravens last week but it’s a statement in that it would start a win streak for the Browns and would show that this things really are different with this year’s version of the team.
With no Joe Staley for the 49ers, Myles Garrett and company are going to feast against an offensive line that has allowed a league-low 2 sacks thus far. Garrett will be good for at least two sacks himself. Yes, the 49ers are undefeated but their wins have come against an up and down Buccaneers team, the lowly Bengals and a one win Steelers team. The one x-factor is that they’re well rested coming off a bye week. But I think the Browns offense found itself last week and will continue to use Nick Chubb to set up the pass game. I’m taking the Browns, 31-24.
