Dallas is one of the few teams in the NFL that have expressed direct interest in Manziel, both before and after the NFL draft. Jerry Jones supposedly had Manziel’s name written on the draft card before he was talked out of it by his son. Manziel is from Texas, where his accomplishments at Texas A&M still mean something. They suddenly are without their franchise QB, Romo, for the foreseeable future, and Romo isn’t getting any younger. It may be time to develop an heir apparent. Plus, Weeden is already 31 years old. They may be willing to part with a few high draft picks to bring in the guy they’ve always had their eye on, and just when he’s starting to play moderately well. The Cowboys will be adding a quarterback, that much is given. Which one, remains to be seen. It could be “Johnny On The Spot.”
