1.) QB DeShone Kizer
Let’s get the obvious one out of the way. All eyes are going to be focused on DeShone Kizer in 2017. After Kizer was named the starting quarterback, the team released veteran QB Brock Osweiler leaving Kizer as the clear man in Cleveland.
If the line can keep him upright and healthy the front office will have a full season to see if he has what it takes to be the guy for Cleveland and finally end the rotating carousel of quarterbacks. He had the talent to be considered a number one overall draft pick at one point but eventually fell to the second round.
Reclaiming that potential this year can be the best steal the Browns had in a recent draft. If he struggles or gets injured, it will be limbo again in the front office as the team could be confronted with another high draft pick and 60+ million in cap space with Kirk Cousins and Jimmy Garoppolo being eligible for free agency.
It was an up and down week one for DeShone. He made some nice plays that flashed potential, but rookie mistakes of locking into targets and holding the ball too long are things he will need to improve on as the season progresses.
