Cleveland– The Cleveland Browns chose Shedeur Sanders in the 5th round on Saturday. It was an end to a drama filled wait for Sanders as many pundits had felt he would be chosen in the 1st round. Our contributor John wrote on this earlier giving the reasons why Sanders would be a good fit for the Browns.
All eyes have been on Sanders after he remained unsigned on Friday. The speculation swirling was that he had an entitled attitude and possibly was un-coachable. His famous father, Deion Sanders, has been his coach at Colorado. Many feel that coupling that with his demeanor, Shedeur may be a problem for any team he goes to. Think of it like LeBron James and Bronny. It’s even rumored that Deion wants to coach at some capacity for the team Shedeur lands with.

Shedeur showing gratitude
Shedeur spoke to local reporters saying, “I would say I’m extremely grateful for the opportunity throughout everything. I don’t ever focus on the negative or even think about the negative because the positive happened so fast and it’s a change of emotions. For me, it was just playing quarterback. That’s what it’s about. You can’t be up, too low or anything. You got to be able to celebrate. And when we score a touchdown, we celebrate for a little bit. Now it’s back to time to work, it’s time to go.”
The quarterback room is full for the Browns. Dillion Gabriel was drafted by Cleveland with their 94th pick. They brought back Joe Flacco and Kenny Pickett was acquired in a trade. Deshaun Watson is expected to miss time after reinjuring his achilles.
