2.) Didn’t Fare as Well Against Better Defenses
That efficiency standpoint brings me to point number two. Watson did not play as well against the better defenses he faced during the year. Here is a list of his stat lines and QBR against top twenty defenses in terms of yards allowed over the last two seasons. He fared better in 2016 which was a good sign but only had one game over his QBR average in 2015 against top twenty defenses. It would have been nice to see more consistency in games where he faced better defenses.
