7) K Zane Gonzalez
Nothing like a good old kicker debate but with the new XP’s and the way offenses have been becoming so dominant having a good kicker is necessary to win games. Some people are totally against drafting a kicker anywhere in the draft but the Browns rolled with Gonzalez in the seventh round and he had a tough rookie season. Among kickers that were not cut or injured during the season last year, Gonzalez was tied for the third worst FG% at 75%. Only Rosas of the Giants and Walsh from the Seahawks were worse with 72%. Zane got off to a rough start, making just two of his first five field goals and just seven of eleven heading into the bye when most thought he would be replaced. He can’t have the same kind of performance this season and still have a job so the pressure is on for him to step up or be cut.
