2) LT Joel Bitonio
Poor Joel seems to have drawn the short straw. Anybody who has to try and replace Joe Thomas is given a daunting task. Top that with what everyone hopes is a franchise changing QB in number one overall pick Baker Mayfield potentially being under center at this point too just adds more pressure. For the finale let’s add in moving him to a position he has not played since college. When the front office did not address the position of LT in the draft it looked like a possibility he might shift there. With Shonn Coleman, Donald Stephenson, and Greg Robinson all underwhelming as potential replacements it is up to Bitonio to save them. It also allows a spot for second-round pick Austin Corbett to play who seemed to be blocked by Bitonio and Zeitler both being under contract through at least 2021. Now the pressure is on Bitonio to not only perform but stay healthy as he has missed 17 games over the last three seasons to injury.
