1. Sam Darnold
The third overall pick in this past year’s draft will be leading the charge. Coming into Thursday’s showdown the rookie has led the Jets to a 1-1 record. He is completing 66% of his passes for 532 yards, with three touchdowns and three picks.
After playing well against the Lions Darnold came back down to earth against the Dolphins. He did throw for 334 yards but threw two interceptions and had a fumble that was recovered by his team.
If Darnold plays well against the Browns there may be added pressure to play Baker Mayfield sooner than they originally wanted.
