3.) Indians Pen Shuts it Down
After a strong start by Danny Salazar, Bryan Shaw came in and did not give up a hit to the Twins and only needed 11 pitches to end the 7th inning.
Following Shaw, it was Miller Time. Andrew Miller came on to throw a hitless inning against the Twins but allowed a walk.
In the 9th inning Indians closer Cody Allen, came on looking to shut the door on the Twins lineup and come away with the save. With 2 outs in the final inning, the Twins were threatening once again with runners on second and third.
Allen walked Miguel Sano with two outs and had to face Joe Mauer with the bases loaded but Allen picked up his third save when Mauer flied out to Chisenhall.
Tomorrow the Indians will send Josh Tomlin to the hill and will be opposed by Twins Phil Hughes.
First Pitch: 8:10 pm
