This is the 41st Ryder Cup. There are 28 points available (at least 14.5 to win for Team USA). 1 point per match; 8 on Friday, 8 on Saturday and 12 on Sunday. The team that wins each match gets one point, and each team gets half a point when matches finish tied (all square). The defending champion, Team Europe, retains the Ryder Cup in the event of a tie when all matches have concluded.
