Quarterback Robert Griffin III took the field in his Cleveland Browns preseason debut and produced some mixed results against the Green Bay Packers on Friday night.
RGIII got off to a great start, finding wide receiver Terrelle Pryor downfield for a 49-yard gain on his first play from under center.

Unfortunately, that was pretty much it for the new Browns QB, who threw an interception five plays later.
Griffin III took only 12 snaps in the game, completing 4-of-8 passes for 67 yards.
The Browns scored two points before Griffin III left the game, which came courtesy of defensive tackle and North Olmsted-native, Jamie Meder, who brought down Packers running back James Starks in the endzone for a safety.
The obvious punchline is that Cleveland’s only points before RGII exited the game came from the defense, but it’s only preseason and the new starting quarterback mixed in a few nice plays on the evening.
It’s far too early to judge RGIII’s performance one way or the other, but most importantly, he stayed healthy.
