Richmond Heights took a decisive first step to what they hope will be a journey to the state tournament in Dayton next month, handily defeating Lake Ridge Academy 85-26 on Friday night.
Senior forward Jaiden Cox-Holloway came out sizzling in the first quarter, knocking down his first five shots for 13 quick points. He finished the night with 20 points to lead all scorers. London Maiden, the Spartans’ 6’-8” man in the middle, added 18 points on 9 of 12 shooting to go with a game-high 8 rebounds.
Lake Ridge senior guard Ted DeMarco led the Royals with 14 points.
Next stop for Richmond Heights will be the district tournament at Norton High School. The top-seeded Spartans will take on #4 seed Cuyahoga Heights on Monday, February 28th, at 7:00 PM.
