Report: Rodney Hood Declined Playing In Fourth Quarter Of Game 4 Against Raptors

The Cleveland Cavaliers won their second-round series against the Toronto Raptors on Monday evening with a lopsided 128-93 victory. That kind of win ensures everyone available to play gets some sort of playing time, which pretty much happened for the Cavs. Except for one player, who refused to check into the ballgame with the game at hand.

That would be guard Rodney Hood, who was called to check into the contest for LeBron James with just 7:38 left in the game. According to The Athletic’s Jason Lloyd, Hood would decline to enter the game. He was the only one of twelve players that didn’t touch the floor.

Hood and Cavaliers general manager Koby Altman will have a discussion about the incident. Depending on how the talk goes, Hood could face a punishment which could possibly be in the form of a suspension.
